My relationship with the Tarot developed quietly and gently from an unwavering, yet gradually emerging belief in the Wisdom Within. As a practicing mind-body worker for the last 10 years, I have learned and used a variety of physical, emotional and energetic techniques to assist people through their unique healing processes. I have recognized patterns of thinking and behavior, common pitfalls and challenges, and have witnessed the creative genius that springs forth every time an individual sets foot on the path of self-awareness. I have learned that every person has the ability to find and utilize their own Innate Wisdom if they so choose. Sometimes, asking for help is the first step.
I understand deeply how the Tarot reflects our whole being, conscious and unconscious, how it mirrors our qualities, characteristics, habits, tendencies, motivations and limitations. By “reading” the information given, I am able to guide clients through tough choices, growing pains, developmental planning, chaos and confusion, victories and perceived failures.
For me, the most important lessons I strive to embody in my work are:
1. No one can do it for you (no one has the supreme power to “fix” you)
Healing happens from within
2. Compassion is essential and stems from unconditional love, respect and acceptance
3. Awareness is key and sometimes it hurts
4. It is the Reader’s responsibility to hold a safe space for the deepest pain and fears of the client. We ALL have them.
5. There is ALWAYS a treasure to be found in every crisis
6. Our greatest weakness is also our greatest strength
I feel I will always be a student of life, even as I am confident in my skills and knowledge. The beauty of wisdom is that it is forever expanding. Every individual has incredible potential, unique and valuable gifts waiting to be recognized and developed. I believe it is in the discovery and expression of these treasures that we achieve true empowerment. Empowerment made up of inner strength, confidence, creative thinking, compassion, wisdom, flexibility, humility and grace.
HOW I USE THE TAROT
I see the Tarot as a How-To guide for life. As mystical and beautiful as the cards are, their primary function is simply to describe and map out the Human Experience. We feel, think, speak, interact, grow, learn, fall, hesitate and rise again. It is through all of these activities that we evolve. In evolution, we perform our most basic and important task. A task shared by everything in existence. We change. Constant transformation from one stage to the next. One moment to the next. Change can be scary and uncomfortable. It can also be tremendously exciting and fun. The key is finding your balance, your center, your stillness in the midst of change.
My purpose as a Tarot card Reader is to facilitate bringing forth the Highest Potential for and from each Seeker in any given circumstance. This is done lovingly, patiently and without judgement. I consciously practice a combination of listening, intuition, creative thinking and problem-solving. I work interactively with each client and encourage verbal and feeling participation. This is YOUR life. YOU have the power to choose what kind of life it IS. YOU already have all that you need. My greatest joy is to help you see and trust your own Divine Wisdom.
